Big bird makes welcome small comeback

It’s been absent from the UK for 180 years but the great bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird, is now once again flying across the south west of England, thanks to a remarkable pioneering reintroduction programme. The male great bustard can stand over a metre tall (40 inches) with a wingspan of up to 2.4m (7.75 ft).
